We're back

from Disney. The kids had a blast with Gramma and Toodles (Cole officially informed me not to call him Grampa anymore, LOL). Tons of pics . . . . .

Off we go

to Disney. The last time for this year. My mom and dad are tagging along. The kids are thrilled . . . . I am slightly less excited, LOL. My parents can be slightly annoying. Dad wants a 5 star hotel for the price of a 2 star. So we are staying in a resort that we got an awesome deal on (thanks to my wonderful husband!). Hope Dad is okay with it. Kids are TOTALLY looking forward to cannonball-ing that pool this afternoon :)

Here we come Mickey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleaning

before the state evaluation guy gets here to check-up on Cole. We have a home meeting with him. Not sure what exactly he needs to see since we don't qualify for services due to Adam making too much money. Hopefully, it goes by fast :)

Still awake

with little Cam. He's just starting to realize that he can open his little hands and stick them in his mouth. Silly little guy loves the fan. I mean REALLY loves it. If he's fussing, I can lay him on the bed and he totally will stop mid-cry to smile and laugh at the fan . . . just like they are long lost friends :) He'll be 2 months old this week. It has gone by so FAST.

Been doing research today . . . . cloth diapers or disposable????? Yes, disposables are SO easy. They are almost TOO convenient. I have been told by many that cloth are really NOT worth the trouble - they leak, they never fit right and you are constantly washing. Lately, I've even been told it's more expensive to do cloth with electricity prices rising. How can human waste, which is considered to be a Biohazard, be thrown into landfills without another thought???? It has to eventually come back to harm our health, right? Right now, we go through about 10 diapers a day, sometimes more. In 2 weeks time, that would be over 140 diapers. That would be over one full trash bag!!!!! When I think of this, I picture Wall-E (the movie) where the population had to be relocated due to their tremendous amount of trash taking over their planet.

On sale, disposable diapers cost me just over 30 cents each, where as cloth would cost me 8 cents each and that includes the cost of laundering (water, detergent, etc.). BIG difference! Also, I'd be avoiding the chemical laden disposables (did you know that they contain the same absorbent materials that have caused TSS???) . . . at the same time, I'd be saving the Earth:)

A week without

daddy.

So far, so good. Cole has been a little cranky, but that's because he wants his Optimus Prime toy that we was promised!!! He refuses to even talk to Adam on the phone. Jaden, however, is a totally different story. She tells daddy every little thing that we have done, are doing, and are going to do :)

Dinner tonight at my parents house, so the kids are excited about that. I am hoping that my dad remembers that I am still gluten free. Hopefully, Cole doesn't try to take mom's CHASE visa again . . . he's really into ordering stuff online now :)

"I need your 'Cheese' Visa, Gramma!"

Already Gone

Tomorrow is the last day of Kindergarten for Cole. It seems like just yesterday he was diagnosed and we were starting therapy. Who could have known he would be a typical kindergartener?! I can't believe that he is 6 already. I remember being told that he would never interact with others . . . I can't tell you how wrong those people were. The way that this little boy manages to touch everyone that he meets amazes me everyday :)
